The collection of commemorative 2 euro coins from Spain will continue to grow next Monday, June 8th, with the release of Proof quality versions dedicated to Article 49 of the Spanish Constitution and the Monastery of Poblet. The Royal Mint (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre – Real Casa de la Moneda) will offer both coins for sale in their usual individual wallets, aimed at collectors seeking the finest finishes among Spanish euro issues.
These new presentations arrive just weeks after the launch of the official Spanish 2026 Euroset and allow you to purchase each coin separately in a version specially treated during the minting process. The Proof quality is characterized by its mirrored fields and matte reliefs, achieving a very attractive visual contrast that highlights every detail of the design.
The first issue is dedicated to Article 49 of the Spanish Constitution, a coin that focuses on inclusion, equal opportunities, and the rights of people with disabilities. The design centers around a book held by two hands, accompanied by the inscription "Inclusion," making it one of the recent Spanish coins with the strongest social message.
The second Proof piece of 2026 is dedicated to the Monastery of Poblet, featured in this year's Spanish World Heritage series. The design showcases some of the most recognizable elements of this historic Cistercian monastery located in Tarragona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the most important medieval monastic complexes in Europe.
The FNMT maintains a relatively contained maximum print run of 5,000 units for both issues, a figure that is common in Spanish Proof versions of commemorative 2 euros and that usually arouses the interest of collectors specializing in euro numismatics.
The coins are presented in official individual wallets and will have a recommended retail price of 26 euros each, VAT included.
