Moving around promises to be fun, exciting, and smart in the future. The plans and concepts illustrated in the "Smart Mobility" coin, in the traditional Silver and Niobium coin issued by the Austrian Mint in 2021, suggest that mobility will also be healthier. This is due to the health benefits of cycling and public transport, as well as the consequent reduction in air and noise pollution in urban areas and the slowdown in global warming.

The look of urban spaces will also change dramatically. The basic idea is the "superblock" concept, in which houses are grouped together as in a garden city and traffic moves to the periphery. In this way, urban areas are no longer parking garages and become parks full of life where children can play in the streets. This will result in more sustainable and environmentally friendly transport solutions. It will also involve more automation, something that has already led to the invention of autonomous cars and buses and could make flying taxis common in the near future.

The obverse of the coin is dominated by the representation of a flying taxi. The futuristic ship fills the two-tone niobium core and extends to the silver outer ring to underline the visionary character of this concept. 

The reverse of the coin underlines the ecologically sustainable aspect of smart mobility. The silver outer ring highlights the importance of public transport in the future, while the niobium core focuses on the bicycle and scooter, the most sustainable means of individual mobility. Also in the niobium core, the super apple concept is shown through a lens.
