RO: Specia săptămânii #22: Dropia (Otis tarda)

Mai există dropia în țara noastră? Mai cuibărește aceasta la noi? Este adevărat că este cea mai mare pasăre din Europa? Ce greutate are?

Sunt întrebările cele mai des primite din partea vizitatorilor, după observarea exponatelor din Muzeul Zoologic. În colecția noastră sunt conservate în total șase exemplare, din care două au fost colectate din zona Transilvaniei în 1913, iar un exemplar provine de la Zoo Bucuresti. La celelalte trei exemplare nu se cunosc datele de proveniență, acestea fiind expuse în cadrul dioramei “Fauna Bărăganului” (foto), menită să prezinte comportamentul și habitatul dropiei.
De această dată am decis să nu răspundem noi la întrebările de mai sus, ci să vă invităm să ne lăsați comentarii cu părerile dumneavoastră. HU: A hét állatfaja #22: Túzok (Otis tarda)

Költ még Romániába a túzok? Hol, milyen élőhelyen lehet látni? Igaz, hogy a túzok Európa legnehezebb madara? Hány kilogramm?

Tárlatvezetések során, ha a túzokra terelődik a szó, a látogatók részéről ezekkel a kérdésekkel találkozunk a leggyakrabban. Az Állattani Múzeum gyűjteményében összesen hat túzok található, melyek közül egy a Bukaresti Állatkert adománya, kettő pedig 1913-as erdélyi gyűjtés. Három példány esetében nem ismertek a gyűjtési adatok. Ezek az Alföld élővilága című diorámában vannak kiállítva (fénykép), ahol a fajok életmódja és élőhelye is bemutatásra kerül.
Ezen a héten rendhagyó fajbemutatásra invitáljuk az érdeklődőket. Úgy döntöttünk, hogy a fenti kérdések megválaszolását olvasóinkra hagyjuk, és kérjük, írják meg ezeket egy kommentár formájában. EN: The species of the week #20: Great Bustard (Otis tarda)

Does the great bustard still occur in our country? Does it still nest here? Is it true that it is the largest bird in Europe? What's it weight?

These are the questions most often received from visitors, after observing the specimens in the Zoological Museum. Six specimens are preserved in our collection, two of which were collected from Transylvania in 1913, while one specimen comes from the Bucharest Zoo. The origins of the other three specimens is unknown, and they are exposed in a diorama called “Fauna Bărăganului” (photo), which is meant to present the behavior and habitat of the bustard.
