Just a few days ago, the distribution and putting into circulation of the two commemorative 2 euro coins that are issued in Spain this year, "Cathedral, Alcázar and Archivo de Indias de Sevilla" and "200 Anniversary of the National Police", began. Now the versions of these coins are announced for the most demanding collectors, those minted in the highest quality, Proof quality.

Although the Spanish commemorative 2 euro coins, with some exceptions, usually have a very low appreciation, these Proof quality coins with very limited editions, as the years go by, tend to multiply the initial value that was paid for them.

The Proof quality coin is presented in an elegant numbered wallet, of which a maximum of 5,000 units are issued.

The design shows a view of the “Patio de las Doncellas” of the Real Alcázar of Seville. At the top, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend SEVILLE appears; below, the mintmark “M Coronada”. At the bottom, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend SPAIN and the year of minting 2024 appear.

200th Anniversary of the National Police

 

 

The Proof quality coin is presented in an elegant numbered wallet, of which a maximum of 7,500 units are issued.

 

The design shows the emblem of the National Police. Around it are the legends: "SPAIN - NATIONAL POLICE 1824-2024". In the lower right part of the emblem there is the “M Coronada” mintmark.

The two coins in Proof quality will be put on sale next Monday, April 1. The recommended retail price is €25 each.
