Another commemorative 2 euro coin for next year of which we already know the design and the theme to which it will be dedicated is the one issued by Latvia. Under the name "Centenary of the recognition 'de jure' of the Republic of Latvia", the de facto recognition of the Latvian State will be celebrated in 2021. Specifically, this event occurred on January 26, 1921, when the main world powers recognized Latvia as a free and independent state.

The design of the coin is quite disappointing, it is limited to write in stylized letters the motive to which the coin is dedicated. Although its issuance is announced for the first quarter of 2021, it is possible that the exact day could be January 26, the date on which the anniversary is celebrated.

It is announced that the issue volume for this coin will be 412,000 pieces, of which 400,000 will be destined for circulation, 5,000 in BU quality will be made available to collectors presented on coincards, and finally another 7,000, in the same quality, They will be part of Euroset 2021 along with the rest of the circulating coins dated 2021. The total volume of the issue will be 412,000 coins.
