We are in the middle of August but important numismatic information does not stop reaching me. Now it is from Andorra, where they have just provided me with images and additional information regarding the second commemorative 2-euro coin issued in 2020 dedicated to the «50 years of Universal Female Suffrage». Half a century after this historic event, the issuance of this coin will remember this advance towards a more just society.
The design of the coin depicts a female face within an envelope of endless moving lines. These lines are made up of female names in Catalan very close together, which makes their individual reading difficult, as a tribute to the solidarity of women in the fight for their rights.

The coin will have a mintage of 60,000 pieces, all of them in BU quality and presented as you can see in the image above. The fixed issue date will be during the fourth quarter of this year.
