The Monnaie de Paris has released a new addition to its collection dedicated to Disney and Pixar animation. Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians, and Cars star in the new coins, which will be issued on September 29.

The program links four anniversaries: 100 years since the publication of the first Winnie the Pooh book (1926), 75 years since the film Alice in Wonderland (1951), 65 years since 101 Dalmatians (1961), and 20 years since Cars (2006). In addition to the twelve individual coins, there are three combined presentations: a box with the four round proof coins, a set of four wallets, and a special box with the two Winnie the Pooh proof variants.

CHAPTER 01
Winnie the Pooh: the centenary of the sweetest bear

The commemoration takes as its starting point the book by AA Milne published in 1926, which predates the Disney adaptations.

Winnie the Pooh · 10€ silver in UNC quality

This version shows a colored scene and contains 13 g of 333 fine silver.

Obverse

 

Winnie appears in color next to her honey pot. Behind her, the relief brings together several friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, and the number 100 commemorates the centenary of the book's publication in 1926.

Reverse

 

It displays the face value "10 EURO" between a laurel branch, above, and an oak branch, below; it also features the inscription "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" and lines that evoke a Hexagon.

PRESENTATION

The coin comes in a wallet illustrated with Winnie the Pooh. The image of the inside of the wallet shows how the coin is stored. 

 

COIN 02 / 04
Winnie the Pooh · 10€ proof quality silver

The proof version is a 37 mm round piece, with 22.2 g of 999 fine silver and a run of 3,000 copies.

Obverse

 

  

The proof version expands the scene: Winnie, colored and with the honey pot, stands in front of a composition of engraved characters and motifs that evokes the centenary.

Reverse

 

 The reverse uses the design shared by the 10 euro proof pieces of the series: a composition of curved lines, silhouettes and motifs related to animated film, with the face value of 10 euros.

PRESENTATION

The official photograph shows the piece alongside its case and an illustrated sleeve dedicated to Winnie.

 

COIN 03 / 04
Winnie the Pooh · 10€ silver shaped

This 22.2g proof coin, made of 999 fine silver, has a mintage of 3,000. The official specifications do not specify a diameter for this coin with its irregular shape.

Obverse

 

 The coin's silhouette follows the figure of Winnie sitting with his honey pot. The character's details are modeled in relief, without color.

Reverse

 

 The other side maintains the irregular shape and combines the 10 euro denomination with the Winnie the Pooh logo and decorative elements from the character's universe.

PRESENTATION

The piece is presented in a protective case accompanied by an illustrated sleeve. This variant is distinguished by both its shape and its design.

 

COIN 04 / 04
Winnie the Pooh €50 gold

The 999 fine gold piece weighs 7.78 g, measures 22 mm and is limited to 500 pieces.

Obverse 

 

Winnie, her honey pot, and her friends occupy the themed side. The design is adapted to the 22mm diameter and commemorates the book's centenary.

Reverse 

 

 The reverse side features the ornamental motif common to the gold coins of this batch, with the denomination of 50 euros.

PRESENTATION

The gold coin comes in its case with a Winnie the Pooh themed sleeve.

 

CHAPTER 02
Alice in Wonderland: 75 years of the film

The 1951 animated adaptation inspires three broadcasts that play with the contrast between colored Alice, the Wonderland characters, and the engraved backgrounds.

The 1951 film turns 75 in 2026. This version measures 31 mm, weighs 13 g and contains 333-thousandths silver.

Obverse 

 

 Alice appears colored in the foreground, while the relief incorporates the Cheshire Cat and other nods to the world she arrives in after following the White Rabbit.

Reverse

 

 It displays the face value "10 EURO" between a laurel branch, above, and an oak branch, below; it also features the inscription "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" and lines that evoke a Hexagon.

PRESENTATION

Alice's purse recreates a scene from the movie and opens to reveal the coin inside.

The proof edition of Alicia is 37 mm, 22.2 g of 999 fine silver and a run of 3,000 units.

Obverse 

 

The large, colorful surface of Alice and the Cheshire Cat contrasts with the engraved background. The piece commemorates the 75th anniversary of the 1951 film.

Reverse 

 

The reverse features the design shared by the 10 euro proof coins, different from the reverse of the regular quality wallets.

PRESENTATION

The coin comes in a case illustrated with the characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Alice's gold coin measures 22 mm, weighs 7.78 g and has a maximum mintage of 500 pieces.

Obverse 

 

 The themed side brings together Alice, the Cheshire Cat and other characters in a scene filmed without color application.

Reverse

 

 The other side shows the denomination of 50 euros on the ornamental composition common to the three gold pieces of 2026.

101 Dalmatians: 65 Years of Spots and Puppies

The two 10 euro coins are reminiscent of the 1961 film. Their design highlights the puppies and the anniversary number.

The Pixar film, released in 2006, has a wallet, a proof coin, and a gold issue. All three star Lightning McQueen and Mater.

The coin version measures 31 mm and weighs 13 g, with 333 thousandths silver and a mintage of 10,000 copies.

Obverse 

 

Lightning McQueen stands out in red against an engraved background that also features Mater. The number 20 commemorates the twentieth anniversary of Cars' release in 2006.

Reverse 

 

 It shares with the other three wallets the geometric pattern, the value of 10 euros and the legend "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE".

PRESENTATION

The wallet features images of the protagonists; when opened, it reveals the coin integrated into a racing scene.

 The opposite side features the ornamental composition and the 50 euro denomination of the other gold coins in the collection.

The three chests and sets

The mintages indicated for the boxes correspond to the complete presentation and are distinct from the mintages of the individual coins.

CHEST 01
Chest containing the four 10 euro proof coins

Collect the four round, colored coins featuring Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians, and Cars. Each coin weighs 22.2 grams of 999 fine silver, for a total weight of 88.8 grams. The box displays all four coins and includes a numbered certificate. Only 300 coins were minted.
