 Another new commemorative coin has just been issued by the Bank of Kazakhstan, marking the second this month. Belonging to the «Events» series, the piece is dedicated to the «25th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan». As on previous occasions, there are two versions with the same design, one with a Proof finish and some color notes that has a 200 tenge facial, the other in BU quality has a 100 tenge facial.

The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is a representative body of the more than 100 ethnic groups and 40 religions that coexist in the country. Created in 1995, it aims to give voice to multiple ethnic groups and religions. Composed of 384 representatives, they give a voice to the different ethnic sensitivities in the meetings held throughout the year. Each region of Kazakhstan has a "house of friendship", that is, a body that collects the needs of ethnic groups and transfers them to the People's Assembly, which lacks legislative but consultative power.

 
The reverse of the coins, on a background of rays of the sun, shows the outline of the map of the country decorated inside with ornamental figures and the number "25", which indicates the anniversary years. Below the image is the inscription "1995 • 2020" indicating the year of foundation and anniversary date, as well as the year of minting. At the bottom is an element of the Kazakh flag. Along the circumference are the inscriptions in Kazakh and Russian "QAZAQSTAN HALQY ASSAMBLEIASY" and "АССАМБЛЕЯ НАРОДА КАЗАХСТАНА" (KAZAKHSTAN PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY).

 On the obverse of the coins in the central part is the national coat of arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To the left and right are ornamental figures. At the bottom of the coin is the face value '100 or 200 TENGE'. Along the circumference the inscriptions "QAZAQSTAN ULTTYQ BANKI • NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN" (National Bank of Kazakhstan).
