The last coin issued in Ukraine, on October 27, is dedicated to the Ukrainian language. Language is not only a means of communication, but also the bearer of a rich cultural heritage, it is part of the genetic code of a country. It is the language that has become the basis of the unity of Ukrainians and one of their weapons in a very difficult moment in the history of Ukraine. Today, the Ukrainian language harbors a spirit of freedom that spreads throughout the world.
On the obverse of the coin there is a stylized letter with a nightingale, symbolizing the melody and melodicism of the Ukrainian language, with the Small State Emblem of Ukraine in the center of the letter; The background of the coin represents the outlines of the letters of the Ukrainian alphabet, which resemble a nest, a symbol of home; At the bottom there is the face value of the coin, 10, the graphic sign of the hryvnia and the year of minting, 2023.
The reverse of the coin features a stylized composition consisting of letters of the Ukrainian alphabet; The letters Г, Й, Э, И (in gold color) are highlighted in the composition, which phonetically and graphically distinguish the Ukrainian language among cultures that use the Cyrillic alphabet. Among the letters in the composition, the letters U, K, R, A, Y, N, I stand out, which in combination with the words OUR LANGUAGE form the expression "our Ukrainian language." The elements of the composition emphasize the integration of language into modern gadgets, digital devices and information networks.
