In 2024, the 200 years of the National Police are celebrated, an event that is marked in red for the National Currency and Stamp Factory – Royal Mint. Next year we will have at least one coin dedicated to this theme, but what we already have is a medal, which is probably using the image that the coin will have.

The first rumors suggest that the coin will be issued at the beginning of 2024, foreseeably in silver and with a face value of 10 euros, which will have a starting price of €72.60, based on the prices that coins with the same characteristics are worth. 

 

There is also the possibility that, as Italy did in 2022 to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the founding of the Italian National Police (Polizia di Stato), a commemorative 2 euro coin will be issued, which would give much more relevance to the celebration, since as it is a circulation piece it could be found in the pockets of any citizen of the eurozone.

Returning to the medal, say that its circulation is unlimited, so you will have no problem getting it if you decide to buy it, although today it is complicated since the first 15,000 have been sold within the National Police. Its price will not be a problem either, 5 euros is the recommended price.

On the obverse of the medal, a type “Z” vehicle and a couple of National Police agents appear in color.
