O nouă monedă comemorativă din Mexic - 05.10.2022 - VIDEO

One year after the event was celebrated, the Bank of Mexico has put into circulation a commemorative twenty-peso coin dedicated to the Bicentennial of the Mexican Navy. This bimetallic coin has a dodecagonal shape, has a latent image and a microtext as security elements. With the minting of this coin, the importance and contributions of this military institution are recognized, from its participation in the consolidation of Independence and the defense of the country to its support for the population in emergencies and natural disasters.


On the reverse of the coin appears in the center Lt. José Antonio de Medina Miranda, on the left the schooner "Iguala" and below the ship "Long Range Ocean Patrol". On the right, the microtext “TTE NAV ANTONIO DE MEDINA MIRANDA” and on the left, an anchor as a latent image. On the edge the legend “BICENTENARY OF THE MARINA-ARMED OF MÉXICO”, ​​on the exergue the denomination “$20” with the years “1821” and “2021” and on the right the mark of the Casa de Moneda de México “M°”.


The obverse of this commemorative coin features the National Coat of Arms surrounded by the legend “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS”. It is legal tender, so it can be used to make any type of payment.
