Green Lantern is the protagonist of the sixth coin in the series dedicated to The Justice League. The pieces dedicated to Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Aquaman and Flash have already been issued. Although in principle it was planned that there would be six coins that will make up this collection, it seems that there will finally be more due to the success of sales.
The reverse design depicts the comic book character Green Lantern in his iconic superhero outfit as he delivers a mighty blow. His superhuman powers are underlined by a vector graphic typical of the comics. To the right of him appears the official Green Lantern logo. In the background, a city skyline is visible. Below is the precious metal content: 1 oz 999 Fine Silver (one troy ounce of 99.9% silver) followed by the copyright marks GREEN LANTERN TM © DC (s22).
The obverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "TWO DOLLARS", "ELIZABETH II", "2022" and "NIUE".
The coin has been minted by the New Zealand Mint, a private company located in Auckland, New Zealand, which purchases precious metals from international sources to then produce coins. The name of the issuing country on the coin is the Island of Niue.
There are two versions with the same design for the coin, in one ounce of silver or one ounce of gold. It has a fairly limited circulation, only 15,000 pieces for the silver one and 150 for the gold one.
