It will be on December 5th when the series of coins issued by the National Currency and Stamp Factory – Royal Mint, «Animals in Danger of Extinction» will see the light of day.

The collection is made up of 16 colored coins, minted in cupronickel, with a face value of 1.5 euros. This limited collection is dedicated to animals listed as Critically Endangered (CR) on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species and will be presented together with an album that includes a brochure (in Spanish and English) with information about each animal.

DESCRIPTION

 

 On the obverse of each of the coins, in a central circular area, an image of the animal is reproduced in colour. At the top, in a downward circular direction and in capital letters, the legend corresponding to the animal. In the outer zone of the coin, a series of floral motifs and animal tracks and, in the lower part, in a circular sense and in capital letters, appears the legend SPAIN and the year of minting 2022.

Back common to the whole series

 

 On the back (common to all the pieces), within a central circle, in its upper part, the legend ANIMALS IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION appears in a circular sense and in capital letters; below, the value of the coin 1.5 EURO, in two lines and in capital letters; and, below, the mint mark. Outside the central circle, an allegory with floral motifs and animal tracks is reproduced. Surrounds all the motifs and legends, a graphic of pinions.
