I have just learned the motif and design that Finland has presented for one of the 2 euro commemorative coins that it will issue in 2022. Apart from the common commemorative one for the "35th Anniversary of the Erasmus Program", and possibly another one that we still do not know about. The reason, the unveiled today will be dedicated to celebrate the "100 Years of the Finnish National Ballet."
The design of the coin represents the powerful and free movements of a dancer covered with a light fabric that accentuates the beauty and fluidity of her poses. (This is the description from the Finnish Ministry of Finance).
My opinion about the design is that it is very poor, they have wasted a theme that they gave to make a very beautiful coin dedicated to the Ballet. There are many good examples of coins dedicated to this topic, here I showed you one that I particularly liked.
The announced issue volume for this coin is 400,000 pieces, which will be issued during the spring of 2022.
