The Royal Mint, in collaboration with Snowman Enterprises Ltd (a Penguin Random House company) has launched The Snowman 2021 commemorative 50p, the fourth design in The Snowman series, with original illustration by Robin Shaw. The reverse design features the heart-warming moment James draws a smile on the snowman for the first time.

A silver proof edition (7.000 pieces) and a gold proof one (300 pieces) have been minted too.
The coloured BU CuNi edition is available in a mintage of 10.000 pieces.
