One of the most economical and attractive series issued in recent years by the Ufficio Filatelico e Numismatico de San Marino, comes to an end, with the broadcast on August 27 of the last three pieces. I am referring to the series dedicated to the Signs of the Zodiac. which has been broadcast since 2018. Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces round off this beautiful collection suitable for all budgets.
This series of coins have been put on sale at the same price of their face value in San Marino, 5 euros, they are minted on an alloy of bronze, copper and aluminum, and have quite attractive designs.
The image shows the coins that are issued in a few days: Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces, together with the common obverse of the entire series.
The reverse of the coins show in the central part a stylized image of the sign to which it is dedicated. The astrological sign of Capricorn, Aquarius or Pisces, is represented ten times along the perimeter of the coin, with the year of issue at the top, and the face value, 5 euro, at the bottom.
The obverse of the coins shows the sun in the center, with the moon phases around it. The image of the sun is surrounded by three feathers, symbolizing the Republic of San Marino, and by the twelve astrological signs along the perimeter.
