The new Britannia 2026 is now available for collectors and investors who closely follow one of the world's most renowned bullion series. Issued by The Royal Mint, this new edition maintains the tradition of combining technical innovation with a design steeped in historical symbolism.

Britannia coins continue to stand out for their high purity, minting quality, and advanced security features, making them both an attractive piece for collectors and a solid option for those looking to invest in precious metals.

As is customary, the coin is available in different metals and weights to suit various investment and collection profiles. However, in this article we will focus specifically on the most popular version: the one-ounce coin minted in pure silver, one of the most sought-after options.

BRITANNIA 2026

1 oz Coin – Silver

Reverse

The 2026 edition features a new reverse design created by American artist Emily Damstra. In this depiction, Britannia stands firm against raging seas, an image symbolizing the strength and resilience of the United Kingdom in the face of the challenges of the modern world. Surrounded by elements that evoke its deep connection to the sea, the figure conveys authority, confidence, and pride.

Obverse

The obverse of the coin features a portrait of King Charles III, a work by the artist Martin Jennings. Around the effigy appear the legends that identify the piece, including the face value "2 POUNDS" (2 pounds), the year of issue "2026", the monarch's name, and the Latin abbreviation "DG REX. FD"; Dei Gratia Rex (King by the Grace of God) and Fidei Defensor (Defender of the Faith).
