On March 24, branches of the Bank of Spain will begin distributing and circulating the two commemorative €2 coins being issued in 2026 in Spain. One of them belongs to the series dedicated to Spanish sites included on UNESCO's World Heritage List, this year featuring the Monastery of Poblet. The second focuses on the theme "Spain and Disability: Protection, Rights, and Inclusion."
Where and when to get Spain's 2026 commemorative €2 coins
Those of us who have been collecting euro coins for a while know exactly what to do to get the commemorative €2 coins issued in Spain each year at their face value, as well as the other circulating coins. For those new to collecting, I'll explain the steps to follow to obtain these coins.
First of all, keep in mind that March 24th is the day of issue of these new coins, being distributed from that date in the different branches that the Bank of Spain has throughout the country.
Just a reminder that there are 1.5 million pieces of each coin, so there are plenty of coins for everyone.
