Today I can offer you an EXCLUSIVE image of the commemorative 2 euro coin that will be issued in Spain in 2025, a coin that belongs to the series dedicated to the Spanish sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This year it is the turn of the "Old City of Salamanca" and it depicts an image of the exterior of the Convent of San Esteban.
I will first show you the sketch of the coin that I have had access to and then a simulation, made by me, of how the coin may look once minted.
The obverse features an image of the exterior of the Convent of San Esteban, in Salamanca. At the top, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend Salamanca; below, the mint mark. At the bottom, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend España and the year of issue 2025. Surrounding all the motifs and legends, in the outer circular area of the coin, are the twelve stars of the European Union.
On the edge appears the inscription: 2 * *, repeated six times and oriented alternately from bottom to top and from top to bottom.
The initial date of issue and circulation of the coins will take place during the first quarter of 2025 and the issue volume will be a maximum of 2 million pieces.
