The National Bank of Kazakhstan has issued two coins of the same design from the series “Outstanding Events and People” commemorating the 125th anniversary of the birth of the prominent academician geologist and founder of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Kanysh Satpayev.As I said, these are two coins with the same design, one in silver and tantalum with a violet ring and a face value of 2,000 tenge, and the other in cupronickel with a face value of 200 tenge.

On the reverse of both coins we can see a portrait of Kanysh Satpayev.
