The second coin in the “Clockwork Evolution” series remains, like the first dedicated to the Bee, a work of imagination embodied on a coin. On this occasion the protagonist is a ladybug, which surprises us when we discover that it is not the insect as we know it, this ladybug is partly made up of nuts and gears, combining organic and mechanical parts.
This mechanical ladybug is depicted on a three ounce silver coin, with a diameter of 45mm. The insect features its distinctive bright red wings, revealing a complex system of gears, pistons, and other parts and mechanisms underneath. The ladybug appears perched on a flower, which also has mechanical and natural components.
The coin has a Black Proof quality, a beautiful metallic coloration and features an incredible Ultra High Relief thanks to the Smartminting technology. All mechanical parts in High Relief are extremely detailed, even the smallest ones. The Mechanical Ladybug also has an innovative multi-layer technique, which means that the High Relief has different levels: the first is the flower, the next is the inner body, then the wings, and finally the head, which has the highest relief.
The obverse of the coin features an intricate clock mechanism with many High Relief details. The Coat of Arms of Mongolia and the inscriptions: “2000 TOGROG”, as a face value, “MONGOLIA”, as the issuing country, and “3 OZ.999 SILVER”, the weight and purity of the Silver.
The coin is presented in an attractive case with the Power Coin logo engraved on a gear, reminiscent of the theme of the series. The lid opens in two directions, revealing the coin, well protected in a capsule. A numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included. The print run is limited to just 999 pieces worldwide.
