Next Tuesday, May 3, the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre – Real Casa de la Moneda plans to issue a silver collector's coin under the name "V Centenario de Antonio de Nebrija", with which it wants to pay tribute to the first Hispanic humanist, famous for his Castilian Grammar, the first grammar in a modern European language.
On the reverse of the coin appears an image of the statue of Antonio de Nebrija located in the Sevillian municipality of Lebrija. Above the image, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend V CENTENARIO DE ANTONIO DE NEBRIJA, and on the back an allegory of the alphabet of the Castilian language. To the right of the image, the face value 10 EURO, and below the Mint mark.
The obverse reproduces the left portrait of His Majesty King Felipe VI. At the top, in a circular direction and in capital letters, appears the legend FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA. In the lower part, between two points, the year of minting 2022. Surrounding the motifs and legends is a ridge of pearls.
