A few months ago, a catalog was shared from here in which a review of the US coins belonging to the "State Quarters" series, issued between 1999 to 2009, and "America the Beutiful Quarters", which were issued between 2010 to 2009, was shared. 2021. Both series are made up of 25 cent circulating coins, also popularly known as quarter dollars.

The catalog by colleague Jorge Herráez that we share has no less than 130 pages, where an exhaustive review of both collections and all the coins that compose it is given, including the different mints in charge of minting the coins and their history. The catalog is a luxury and essential for those of you who have made these collections, and for those who have not, an opportunity to get to know them and perhaps start it. They are highly recommended and can also be used to get started in the world of numismatic collecting.

The problem, for many, is that this magnificent work is written in English. In response to the requests of those who left comments that you would like to enjoy it in Spanish, colleague José Moreno has made the traction to our language and has sent it to my email so that it can be shared, with prior authorization from Jorge Herráez, who thought it was perfect have your work translated and shared as we are going to do today. Point out that the translation has been carried out with the help of the Google translator and may have a transcription error, but something very specific that does not influence the final result.

Before leaving the catalog, I give you a few brushstrokes on each series.

State Quarters

Initiated in 1999, the 50 State Quarters collection of the United States Mint was an initiative that for 10 years honored each of the nation's states in the order in which they ratified the Constitution or were admitted to the United States. the Union. Designs dedicated to the states are featured on the reverse of the 25-cent coins, while President George Washington is featured on the obverse design.

After this series, another six coins were issued, in 2009, in honor of the District of Columbia and the American island areas of Puerto Rico, Guam, the United States Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands, which we can consider to complete the Serie.

America the Beautiful Quarters

In 2010, the United States Mint began issuing 56 quarter-dollar coins with designs that represent national parks and emblematic places of the country, located in each of the states and territories that comprise it, giving the name to the America the Beautiful Quarters series. The common obverse of all the coins show President George Washington, in a version restored by John Flanagan in 2010 from the original portrait used in 1932 in the Washington Quarter.
