As every time a new series of coins is started, my recommendation is that if you like it, do not take long to get the first of the series, if later you want to start the collection once several pieces have been issued and the series is successful, as I believe which will be the case of the one that I present to you today, it will be much more expensive and difficult to start it.
The series that begins, of which I have not yet seen the first coin on sale here in Spain, has Batman as its protagonist and belongs to the Justice League series. They will be, in principle, six coins made up of one ounce of silver, where Superman, Aquaman, Flash, Wonder Woman and Cyborg, will be the ones who will appear in the future launches of the coins of this series.
As I said, the first one is dedicated to Batman, where an officially licensed image of the superhero is presented, launching into the air with his traditional bat costume over Gotham City, with the Batman logo represented in the sky. Metal content (1 ounce of pure silver), Batman copyright mark, and DC Comics copyrights appear on the bottom edge as signs of authenticity.
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the name of the country and its face value.
The coin has been minted by the private New Zealand Mint company located in Auckland, New Zealand, which purchases precious metals from international sources and then produces coins. The name of the issuing country that appears on the coin is the Island of Niue.
There are two versions with the same design for the coin, in one ounce of silver or one ounce of gold. It has a fairly limited circulation, only 15,000 pieces for the silver one and 150 for the gold one. The silver can be obtained without problems, if you hurry, the price can be around 50 euros. The gold one around 2,500 euros.
A tip for those who are interested in the currency, do not buy outside the European Union, the shipment can be stopped at customs and you will have to pay a significant extra cost.
