As you know, the Austrian Mint has been issuing coins for a few years that use special inks with which the main motifs they present (so far animals, in two different series) glow in the dark. Now it is Italy, through the Istituto Polografica e Zecca dello Stato, that does something similar with the issuance of a new series called "Sustainable World - Endangered Animals", where the first coin has just been issued and is dedicated to the Tiger, a Tiger that shines in an extraordinary way when the light disappears.
The coin was issued yesterday September 9 and is already sold out. This first piece dedicated to endangered animals shows the elegance and strength of a tiger through an innovative and highly showy artistic representation.
The coin shows on the reverse a color composition in which a tiger in its natural environment is represented as the main motif. Above, the inscription "TIGRE"; on the left, the face value »5 EURO»; then the year of issue "2020"; on the right the mark «R», as the mint mark of the Mint of Rome. La Moneda has colors, some fluorescent, that make it glow in the dark.
In the foreground, on the obverse of the coin, a color composition of some representative animal species of the terrestrial fauna that coexist in harmony is shown.

As I said, the coin is already sold out, it went on sale yesterday September 9 at a price of 37 euros in the online store of the Italian IPZS.
Nothing has been communicated about the next animals to which the issues of this new series of coins will be dedicated in the coming years.
