Noi monede comemorative din Australia - 09.09.2020

In 1995 The Perth Mint Australia released the world's first series of bullion coins featuring the 12 animals of the Chinese lunar calendar. The second coin, of the third series, is issued during this month of September with a dedication to the Year of the Ox, which is celebrated from February 12, 2021 to January 31, 2022. In addition to the usual versions in gold and silver , the new series includes platinum as a novelty.


The gold and platinum coins have the same design. The reverse shows a stylized representation of an ox between bamboo stalks. Also included are the Chinese lunar calendar symbol for the 'ox', the inscription 'OX 2021' and the Perth Mint mintmark 'P'.


The reverse of the silver coin shows a stylized representation of an ox with its calf. In the background a town is represented between mountains. Also included in the design is a cherry tree, the Chinese lunar calendar symbol for 'ox', the inscription 'OX 2021' and The Perth Mint mintmark 'P'. 


The obverse of all the coins show the effigy made by Jody Clark of Her Majesty the Queen. Isabel II, the weight and fineness and the face of the coin.

All coins are backed and guaranteed by the Australian government itself. They are composed of 99.99% pure gold, silver also 99.99% pure and platinum 99.95%.
