The Casa da Moeda in Portugal starts a new series of coins under the name of «Contemporary Urban Art», where the first piece recognizes the Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto, better known as VHILS, currently considered one of the best artists streets of the world.

Vhils is synonymous with urban art. As soon as we hear the name of this artist, we think of his large-scale portraits on the walls of countless cities, from Lisbon to Rio de
Janeiro to Hong Kong. Today, his multifaceted work goes far beyond these iconic works of art. As the name and work of VHILS spread throughout the world, it is also a little bit of Portugal that goes further.

The obverse of the coin shows in the center a 'tag' (personal and unique signature used by graffiti artists to publicize their work). At the top are the legends "Portuguese Republic", "2021" and the face value "10 Euro", and at the bottom, the legends "Casa da Moeda" and "VHILS".

On the reverse, occupying all the useful space of the coin, there is a representation of a human eye, an iconic element in the artist's work.

There is only one version for this coin, which is presented as you can see in the image.
