For Nicolás Flamel, immortality was possible because he possessed the so-called elixir of life, whose existence and formula were revealed to him by an angel who appeared in his dreams and led him to a magic book. Flamel would have spent years decoding that magical book to find the elixir of life.
In a way, Flamel achieved immortality, despite dying at 88, he is still part of the culture and became immortal through the dozens of works that mention him to this day. But not only his books make him present, the issuance of a coin dedicated to the alchemist and his Philosopher's Stone make him more alive than ever.
This beautiful two-ounce silver coin is dedicated to Nicolas Flamel, who supposedly discovered the Philosopher's Stone and its Elixir of Life. The coin features a beautiful gold plating, super high relief minting, antique finish, and precious Swarovski crystal inlaid.
The reverse of the coin depicts the triangular structure surrounded by the astronomical symbol of the day and night sky, the portrait of the Grand Alchemist on top, and magical symbols and animals everywhere. At the top of the reverse, the inscription: "PHILOSOPHER'S STONE NICOLAS FLAMEL".
The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by magical symbols of basic elements and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II", the name of the Queen, "2 DOLLARS", the face value, "2021" , year of issue and "NIUE ISLAND" as issuing country.
As can be seen, both on the obverse and on the reverse, the coin appears surrounded by a snake, which we can also see all over the edge. Delivered in a themed box, along with the certificate of authenticity. The mintage is limited to just 500 pieces worldwide.
