Burundi new 10,000-franc numismatic product (BNP201) reported

This non-circulating, legal-tender 10,000-franc note commemorates 50 years of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), also known as the Washington Convention, a multilateral treaty that protects endangered plants and animals from the threats of international trade. This note was privately produced by Mietens & Partner GmbH of Germany in cooperation with the Banque de la République du Burundi. For more information, visit www.giantbanknote.com.

Brown. Front: French text; lion, giraffe, Cape buffalo, African leopard, African elephant, red-billed oxpecker bird perched on black rhinoceros; three stars in gold OVI; bank logo. Back: French text; coat of arms; dancers and drummers in underprint; outline map of Burundi depicting Ruvyironza River, southernmost source of the Nile River, and capital of Gitega; presidential palace in Bujumbura; flag of Burundi; bank logo. This note is 42% larger than the Malaysia 2017 600-ringgit note (BNP107) measuring 370 x 220 mm, which the Guinness Book of World Records heretofore considered to be the physically largest legal tender note ever issued.
