11. Carol I 5 Lei 1901-B MS62 NGC, Hamburg mint

Carol I 5 Lei 1901-B MS62 NGC, Hamburg mint, KM17.2, Schäffer/Stambuliu-54. A fantastic example of this coveted date that is both the final year of the series and the only one minted in Hamburg. A crisp and frosty reverse is accompanied by a sharply struck obverse displaying excellent luster and devices enrobed in an exceptional golden tinge. Some minor dings at the neck prohibit what would otherwise be an overwhelmingly Choice specimen, but all-in-all a lovely Mint State piece that specialists will wholeheartedly appreciate.
