8. John Hunyadi (1446-1453) gold Goldgulden ND (1446-1447) MS61 NGC, Nagybanya mint

John Hunyadi (1446-1453) gold Goldgulden ND (1446-1447) MS61 NGC, Nagybanya mint, Fr-14, Husz-615, Lengyel-23/1B. 3.53gm. An exceedingly scarce early Hungarian issue, soundly struck and glistening with centuries-old bloom. A touch of tangerine tone creates personality for this Mint State survivor, one of the finest graded by NGC with only three examples higher.

Metal: Gold

9. Gabriel Bethlen Taler 1621-KB MS61 NGC, Kremnitz mint

Gabriel Bethlen Taler 1621-KB MS61 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM134, Dav-4710. An elusive and popular issue, especially so in Mint State preservation, that is often accompanied by surface and planchet imperfections, yet these are essentially absent from the piece in question. Unusually enthralling and original, decorated in a pleasing array of cobalt and emerald toned legends, most notable to the reverse. Highly desirable so fine.

Metal: Silver Weight: 28.6g
