George Rakoczi II Taler 1656-NB AU55 NGC, Nagybanya mint, KM286, Dav-4751, Resch-99. A rarer taler type that rarely escapes tooling, cleaning, and mounting, with this being the finest, and only the second, example of the date we have offered. 4. Gabriel Bethlen Taler 1621-KB MS60 NGC, Kremnitz mint
Gabriel Bethlen Taler 1621-KB MS60 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM134, Dav-4710, Husz-374, Resch-92. Pleasingly sharp across the entirety of the central features and majority of the outer extremities as well, and displaying both lustrous qualities and a sufficient degree of mint frostiness to confirm a condition that is wholly uncirculated. Only subtle friction in the fields establishes the grade, and so, given the lack of any heavier instances of handling, the offering retains a high degree of visual appeal for its assigned certification.

George II Rakoczi Taler 1656-NB XF Details (Mount Removed, Reverse Tooled) NGC, KM-B287, Dav-4752, Husz-564. Well-struck, with rich antique tone. Evidence of old tooling presents itself in the lighter areas of the reverse fields, most likely an effort to repair damage from a prior mounting.

Michael Apafi Taler 1667 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM-B390, Dav-4789, Resch-63, Husz-746. A delightfully bold representative revealing sharply chiseled features, these decorated in ample mint frost which only further accentuates their comparatively high relief. Quite rare as a type and a prime opportunity when found with such a degree of charm and detail.

7. Sigismund Bathory gold Ducat 1594 MS62 NGC, Hermannstadt mint
Sigismund Bathory gold Ducat 1594 MS62 NGC, Hermannstadt mint, Fr-295. 3.50gm. An exceptionally fine example of this scarce type, the figures of Madonna and St. Ladislas admirably sharp and expertly detailed for an issue that often comes quite crude. Bright, full luster, with very few noticeable marks. Slight waviness to flan as typical.
