As one of the great motifs and representations of strength, resistance to nature and majesty, at the beginning of the year the Royal Canadian Mint issued a coin made up of 1 kilo of pure gold dedicated to the Bald Eagle, recreated by the artist Robert Bateman.

This bird of prey is represented in the piece through a photorealistic print that captures its spirit and Bateman's own original and naturalistic art.

Engraved on the coin's reverse is a bald eagle perched calmly in a moss-covered tree, looking out to sea. In the sky the inscription of "Canada 2023" is shown, and the signature of the artist that appears under the denomination of "2500 dollars".

On the obverse we can see a natural-themed motif and the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the work of Susanna Blunt, with four pearls that symbolize the four effigies that have adorned Canadian coins, and the double date of her reign.
