O nouă monedă comemorativă din Cehia - 31.05.2023

Today, May 30, 2023, the Czech National Bank issues the fifth gold coin in the Municipal Heritage series. The coin is dedicated to the city of Kroměříž.


The upper part of the obverse of the coin shows part of the colonnade of the Kroměříž Flower Garden with heraldic animals of the great national coat of arms between the different columns. The Czech lion stands in the center, the Moravian eagle to its left and the Silesian eagle to its right. The lower half of the coin shows shadows of the heraldic animals and columns. The text “ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA” appears near the upper edge of the coin. The lower edge of the coin bears the text “MĚSTSKÉ PAMÁTKOVÉ REZERVACE” and the denomination and abbreviated monetary unit “5,000 Kč”. The text is separated from the denomination and the abbreviated monetary unit by a sign in the form of "○". The mark of the Czech Mint, consisting of the letters "Č" and "M", is located above the Czech lion.


The upper half of the reverse features a collage of the most important architectural monuments of the Kroměříž municipal heritage, from the left, the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Church of St. Mauritius, the Kroměříž Castle, and the Rotunda of the Flower Garden is located in the bottom half of the coin. The text “MĚSTO KROMĚŘÍŽ” is located near the bottom edge of the coin. The minting year “2023” is located above the Kroměříž castle. The initials of the coin's designer, Karolína Kučerová, made up of two letters "K", are located near the bottom edge of the coin.

The coin is minted in 999.9 thousandths of a purity gold and is issued in two versions, BU quality and Proof quality, which differ in surface treatment and marked edge. The coin measures 28mm in diameter, weighs 15.55g and is 1.85mm thick.
