The New Zealand Mint has issued a new series of pure gold and silver coins dedicated to Thor the God of Thunder. The famous Marvel Comics character has traveled through the realms, fighting all the enemies of Asgard and Earth since 1962, using his powerful enchanted hammer Mjolnir, which gives him the ability to fly and manipulate the weather, as well as concentrate your power.

This series of officially licensed pieces has a high quality in terms of reliefs and textures, which contrast brilliantly with the mirror-finish background.

On the reverse of both coins we can see engraved the mighty God of Thunder holding his hammer, Mjolnir, with his emblem on one side. His cape is shown in bold, vibrant colors that contrast with the background.

Common obverse throughout the series

 

While the common obverse in all the pieces, as legal tender coins, have the coat of arms of Niue, the issuing country, in the upper part the face value and in the lower area we see the year of minting "2023".
