The Bank of Israel has made some updates of the inscription on circulating coins in accordance with guidelines from the Academy of the Hebrew Language and the Academy of the Arabic Language in Israel.

The word 'Agorot' will be added in Arabic. No changes have been made on the obverse side of the coins, which remain as they have been since first issued.

The Bank of Israel has made some updates of the inscription on circulating coins in accordance with guidelines from the Academy of the Hebrew Language and the Academy of the Arabic Language in Israel.

The word 'Sheqel' will be replaced in English with the word 'Shekel'. In addition, the words 'New Shekel' will be added in Arabic. No changes have been made on the obverse side of the coins, which remain as they have been since first issued.
