The 1-dollar coin of the American Native American Dollar series for the year 2020 is dedicated to Elizabeth Peratrovich and the Anti-Discrimination Act in Alaska. This activist defending the rights of the natives of Alaska came to get the approval of the Anti-Discrimination Act of 1945, this being the first anti-discrimination law passed in the United States.

The design presents a portrait of Elizabeth Peratrovich, whose defense was considered a decisive factor in the passage of the Anti-Discrimination Act of 1945 in the territorial government of Alaska. In the foreground is the Tlingit Raven, (Crow Tlingit), a symbol of the American Indian people of the coasts and islands of southeastern Alaska. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "ELIZABETH PERATROVICH", "$ 1" and "ANTI-DISCRIMINATION LAW OF 1945", complete the design of the United States Mint artist, Phebe Hemphill, who has also Engraved coin.

The obverse, common to this entire series of US dollar coins, shows Sacagawea and his son Jean Baptiste. This indigenous woman of the shoshone tribe accompanied and guided one of the most important expeditions of recognition of the American territory. The face of the coin reproduces the face of a shoshone woman of today called Randy'L He-dow Teton, since there is no image of Sacagawea.
