On December 12, the Bank of Poland issues a collection coin in 925 silver of purity, in Proof quality and with a 10 złotych facial, to commemorate the «Centenary of Polish Military Aviation». It is a piece with a very attractive design for all types of collectors and especially for those who like the coins that have as protagonists the airplanes.

The reverse of the coin refers to the origins of Polish military aviation. It presents the silhouette of the Fokker EV (D.VIII) fighter plane in which Polish pilots flew during the First World War. On its wings the plane presents, the rosettes or badges of the Polish Air Force: the white and red board, adopted in 1918.

The upper part shows the insignia of the military pilots (called »Gapa»), designed by Prof. Władysław Gruberski and introduced in 1919, represents an eagle in flight with a laurel wreath at the peak. The composition is completed on the background of a grid of fields, characteristic of the Polish landscape, seen from the sky.

The obverse of the coin refers to contemporary Polish military aviation, representing the silhouettes of two F-16 airplanes in flight. The facial value, the name and the shield of the issuing country and the year of issuance, 2019, complete the design.
