The United States Mint issued on February 15, what is the fourth coin in the series dedicated to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and which in this case is dedicated to the right of assembly.This collection, which embodies the life cycle of the oak, was started in 2021, and will last five years. This series features a new iconic reverse each year, and this one is intended to represent each of the five freedoms enshrined in the First Amendment of the United States.
Individual public freedom of assembly consists of the ability of a group of individuals to meet temporarily in a common space, peacefully and unarmed, for any legitimate purpose and in accordance with legal regulations. It is a first generation freedom and human right. In Spanish territory, this right was subject to prior authorization from the Government until 1978.
The obverse of the coin shows various types of oak leaves arranged throughout the composition, along with the upper inscription "WITH THE RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE LIBERTY SPREADS", and additional inscriptions lower "IN GOD WE TRUST", "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (OUT OF MANY, ONE) and the year of issue "2024".
On the other hand, on the common reverse of the series, an eagle is depicted in full flight with an olive branch in its talons. There are also the inscriptions of the issuing country "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", the face value "$100", and the weight, metal, and purity of the coin.
