Finally we have the image of the 2024 commemorative 2 euro coin belonging to the series dedicated to the Spanish sites inscribed on the UNESCO Universal Heritage List. This year it is the turn of the "Cathedral, Alcázar and Archive of the Indies of Seville."
My opinion is that we are looking at one of the most beautiful coins of all those issued, not only by Spain, but of the more than 500 that already make up this collection.
On the obverse of the coins a view of the Patio de las Doncellas of the Real Alcázar of Seville is reproduced. At the top, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend SEVILLE appears; Below, the Mint mark. At the bottom, in a circular direction and in
capital letters, the legend SPAIN and the year of minting 2024 appear. Surrounding all
the motifs and legends, in the outer circular area of the coin, the twelve
stars of the European Union appear.
On the edge of the coin appears the inscription: "2 * *" repeated six times and oriented
alternately from bottom to top and top to bottom.
The maximum issue volume of the coin is 1,500,000 pieces. The release date has not yet been announced.
