Ending the remainder of the year, the New Zealand Mint issues another of its three-ounce silver coins dedicated to one of the most famous science fiction sagas of recent times; to Star Wars, and more specifically, the released piece is dedicated this time to the dark Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Officially licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd, the coin visually chronicles some of the character's most iconic scenes.
The reverse design shows a striking, meticulously detailed composition, highlighting some of Darth Vader's most iconic moments, both represented in color scenes and engraved making excellent use of reliefs and textures. The mirror finish on the bottom of the piece further enhances the design, creating an elegant contrast.
While on the obverse of the coin the coat of arms of the issuing country "Niue" appears, at the top its face value "TEN DOLLARS" and in the lower area of the piece we see the year of minting "2023".
This exclusive coin comes presented in an elegant box printed with the Star Wars™ brand and lined in black velvet, including its certificate of authenticity and the serial number of the piece.
The approximate price of this coin is 300 euros.
