Tomorrow, December 14, the last commemorative 2 euro coin is issued under the name of «Games», completing the series called «Children and Solidarity», which the Central Bank of Malta together with the charity The Malta Community Chest Fund started in 2016.

The design, created by de Ymen Riahi, a Maltese student at Rabat Middle School St. Nicholas College, represents a set of traditional Maltese children's folk games, such as marbles, spinning top and classic kite. Also shown is a Maltese version of hopscotch, known as passju. The three bees flying in a circle allude to a popular song that Maltese children sing while they play. The name of the issuing State, 'Malta', and the year of issue, '2020' appear on the motif.
The twelve stars of the European flag appear on the circular crown of the coin.

The complete circulation is 220,000 pieces. 200,000 are presented in rolls of 25 coins and 20,000 in coincard, the latter have the Monnaie de Paris mint mark where all have been minted.
