A new series of coins is started under the name "Time Flies", dedicated to Exploration and Discovery. The first of the series has as its protagonist the discoverer par excellence, Christopher Columbus, who is represented in a masterful way upon his arrival in the New World. But there is nothing left, on the other side of the coin the exploration of Mars is shown, in a no less spectacular way.
The coins of this new series are minted with Smartminting technology, with this technique large reliefs are achieved. At the end I will leave you a video where the coin is seen from different angles and the spectacular results offered by this new way of minting coins can be appreciated.
The reverse of the coin represents the beautiful image of Columbus, and part of the crew, with the three ships that touched down in the Americas on Friday, October 12, 1492. Their landing place was an island in the Bahamas, known for its native inhabitants like Guanahani. At the bottom of the reverse is the inscription: "Voyagers Thirst for Discovery", as the name of the coin.
The obverse of the coin represents the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by artifacts launched into space, such as probes and spaceships, an astronaut also appears walking on the surface of the Moon. The inscriptions are: "ELIZABETH II", name of the Queen, "10 DOLLARS" as the face value, "COOK ISLAND" as the issuing country and "2021" as the year of issue.
