The Italian Mint IPZS (Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato), is responsible for the design, engraving and minting of the circulation and collection coins issued by Italy, San Marino or the Vatican, among others. One of his latest works corresponds to a coin in which the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is represented in Florence. Apart from the beauty of the coin itself, the video presented by the coin, broadcast by the IPZS itself, is a visual story of how a coin is made, from its initial design, through the plaster molds that have to be perform and ending by coining. The video that I will show you is a very didactic way of knowing how coins are made, in this case a beautiful molto .

The Cathedral of Santa María del Fiore and the Polygraph is one of the most famous artistic monuments in the world. The silver coin with a nominal value of 5 euros belongs to the Italian Arts Series and is the work of the artist and engraver Annalisa Masini.
