The Bank of Estonia announces the issuance for November 19 of its second 2-euro commemorative coin of 2019 dedicated on this occasion to celebrate the «Centenary of the foundation of the University of Tartu as the National University of Estonia». One million coins will be the volume of issuance that this piece will have, which will be mostly distributed in rolls of 25 pieces.

The design of the coin. The work of the artist Indrek Ilves, has as its main motive the facade of the university building and legends alluding to the creation of it in 1632, when it was founded as the University of Tartu, and the Centenary that it celebrates in 2019 since it became a University National of Estonia.

Another of the presentations, designed for collectors, will be the 7,500 coins that are issued on coincard, in BU quality, at the price of 10 euros.

Another presentation announced, of which we do not have an image, nor do we know its price, is a philatelic-numismatic combination, which will include an envelope, a stamp of € 0.65 and the currency in BU quality allusive to the same subject as the currency . This special presentation of which 10,000 units are issued, will be put up for sale at the University of Tartu itself after the official presentation of the coin on November 19.
