Programul numismatic al Lituaniei pentru anul 2022 - 03.01.2022

In 2022, numismatic collectors will be able to get new and interesting coins issued by the central bank of Lithuania. Five collector's coins and three commemorative 2-euro coins will be issued, adding up to a total of eight different themes.


A commemorative 2 euro coin will be dedicated to celebrating 100 years of basketball in Lithuania. Another commemorative 2 euro coin will mark the 35th anniversary of the Erasmus Program, in a joint issue with most eurozone countries.

The year 2022 will mark the centenary of the Bank of Lithuania and three collector coins will be issued to commemorate the occasion: a 50 euro gold coin, a 20 euro silver coin and a 1.5 euro coin minted with a metallic alloy. . A 50 euro gold coin will also be issued to commemorate the centenary of the Lithuanian State Constitution.
 


The Bank of Lithuania will highlight the issue of climate change by issuing a collectible coin called "There is no planet B", which will be dedicated to the protection of the environment. Artificial intelligence, another highly relevant topic today, will also be commemorated with a silver collector's coin.
 


In addition, the Bank of Lithuania will introduce new features in its coin series: it plans to issue 1.5 and 5 euro collector coins dedicated to the fairy tale "Zuikis Puikis", as a continuation of the coin series "Tales from my childhood" , and a commemorative 2 euro coin dedicated to the Suvalkija region, as a continuation of the series "Ethnographic Regions of Lithuania". The central bank will also issue its annual numismatic series of regular circulating euro coins.
