Financial literacy

The national commemorative 2-euro coin is issued within the celebrations for the Centenary of the Latvian Bando, although finally the official name will be “Financial Literacy”.

The Bank of Latvia describes the issuance of this currency as follows: What is financial education? A rich person is not the one who owns a lot, but the one who is intelligent.

For the design of the national side of the new 2 euro commemorative coin, the Latvijas Banka has chosen one of the current issues: financial education.

This coin shines in your hand when you move it. Similarly, the mind also needs to be exercised to become more skillful and brilliant.

Perhaps this coin, which at first seemed simple and monotonous, thanks to the brightness effects it announces, could be one of the pleasant surprises of this year.

From what we can see in the image released by the Bank itself, the engraving of the circles that make up the design with different levels of inclination, will cause the light to reflect differently on the coin, depending on the angle from which we see it.

This coin will be issued during the month of March.
