One of the most iconic films of the 80s is without a doubt Back to the Future, a film that marks the adolescence and youth of a generation, including myself. Directed by Robert Zemeckis and released in July 1985, it tells the story of Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), a high school student who accidentally travels 30 years into the past, until 1955, endangering his own existence in the future. This year marks the 35th anniversary of its successful premiere and to celebrate it, a pair of coins made up of one ounce of silver have been issued that will awaken nostalgia in many collectors.

The coin shows an image of the DeLorean car, which is the time machine in Back to the Future. At the top are the characteristic rays that occurred each time you traveled in time. In addition, it includes the original logo of the film and the years since its premiere "Back to the Future 35". The legends, in the upper semicircle, refer to the metal content and its purity, in addition to the copyright mark. At the bottom of the coin are digital numbers like those on the time machine marker.

Of this coin made up of one ounce of silver and BU quality, 10,000 have been issued.

The second coin, also made up of one ounce of silver, has been minted in Proof quality, presents the rear of the DeLorean in a color image and has a mintage limited to 2,000 copies.

Shown on this coin is a color image of the back of the DeLorean from Back to the Future, surrounded by electric flashes as time goes by. Above is the Back to the Future logo, as well as the brand of the license owner and the purity of the silver. Beneath the traces of the burning tires we see the numbers that appear in the time machine.

The coin is presented in the Mr Fusion reactor which is the one that provided the energy to the time machine.

The obverse of both coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the work of artist Ian Rank-Broadley, surrounded by the name of the issuing country "Niue", the face value "$ 2" and the year of issue "2020".
