The Royal Australian Mint dedicates the first bullion or investment coins from the Australia Zoos Series to the Sumatran Tiger. There are two coins with different designs dedicated to this critically endangered species, one consisting of one ounce of silver with a mintage of 25,000 pieces and the other of 1 ounce of gold with only 250 copies, both have very successful and attractive designs facing the collector.

The number of tigers living in the wild is estimated to be less than 400 worldwide. This rare species is the smallest living subspecies of tiger and has its habitat exclusively on the island of Sumatra (Indonesia). In addition to its smaller body size, the Sumatran tiger also differs from other tigers in its darker base color of hair, for having a small mane on the nape of the neck and because it has longer locks of hair on the face.

Before you ask me where you can get these coins, I tell you that in Spain they are not available at the moment. My recommendation is that you ask our sponsors Dracma and Carrasquilla , perhaps they can get them for you.
