Osaka World Expo 2025

Expo 2025 Osaka, held on the artificial island of Yumeshima, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, 2025, brings together countries, companies, and organizations from around the world under the theme "Designing the Future Society for Our Lives." This global event is a space for collaboration and innovation where solutions to 21st-century challenges will be explored, with a special emphasis on technology, sustainability, and human well-being.

With the participation of more than 150 countries and international organizations, Expo 2025 offers interactive pavilions, cutting-edge exhibits, and immersive experiences that allow visitors to learn about advances in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, renewable energy, and sustainable mobility. It also serves as a platform for international cooperation on topics such as smart urban development and improving the global quality of life.

One of the event's fundamental pillars is the concept of "Society 5.0," a Japanese vision of a hyperconnected world where technology is harmoniously integrated into everyday life to improve people's well-being and environmental balance. Expo 2025 Osaka thus seeks to inspire a future where innovation and sustainability are key drivers of human progress.

This event is shaping up to be one of the most important international events of the decade, not only for its economic and cultural impact, but also for its ability to generate ideas and strategic alliances that will define the future of humanity.

The reverse of the coin depicts a cherry blossom branch, its petals adorned with a touch of pink, in homage to the Rising Sun, whose cherry tree (Sakura) is a distinctive symbol of Japanese culture. Surrounding this design are the inscriptions of the Italian mint mark "R" (Rome), the face value "10 EUR," the name of the reverse artist, "S.CIUCCI" (Silvia Ciucci), and the text "EXPO OSAKA 2025."

On the obverse of the coin, a semicircular inscription appears at the top with the name of the issuing country, "REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO" (Republic of San Marino). Just below, in the center, the coat of arms of San Marino stands out, while at the bottom is the name of the obverse designer, "A. Napolione" (Antonella Napolione).
